I copied this from my daughter's blog. I think this may be a little more meaningful to me than to some who haven't faced their mortality yet. Here are the rules.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! Nothing too embarrassing please. :) If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is the most memorable for you.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. I can't wait to see what people remember.

Love to all.

Probably one of the most endearing memories I have of you is the time just you and I went up to (now I can't remember the name of it) there in Logan canyon. We got a room and talked and laughed. You hadn't been married long and I don't even know why we went but it was and still is so fun to remember. I also have watched you with my brother and know that if not for you he would be lost. I wondered where you got the strength to endure as you have. And not only endure but forgive, and love and encourage through all the hurt. You are AMAZING. I have felt sad at times that I couldn't have been more like you and not gotten divorced etc... I don't have a blog but I sure wanted you to know how you have influenced my life, and how many more memories I have that I treasure.

Kim - Hmmm, well my earliest memory is of the time we stayed with you in Vernal when Mom was having Meghan. I didn't want to take a nap so I took a permanent marker to your sheets, pillow case, Chrissy's doll, and me instead.

I got in trouble, but I never felt bad about myself, just what I did. I think that is a rare gift to be able to do that for a kid.

Since there are almost 30 years of memories to sift through (ok, 29 and a half) I don't know how to pick one. I think one of my top memories would be when I was 11 or 12 or so and spent 6 hours in the bathroom until I cleaned it to your satifaction. A life lesson well learned, I assure you. Another good memory would be when Jacob was born and you were there by my side through the whole thing. When the men in my life got tired or overwhelmed you were there to tell me I could do it and keep me calm and centered. I am so grateful that you are my mother.

Is it ok if I have a few favorite memories? My first is ABC Generation. Do you remember doing that for the ward party? I had so much fun learning the songs and dances because I never took dance as a kid. I loved that we had costumes and wore makeup, etc. The next would be all the sleepovers at your house. You were always so much fun and laid back. The next would be my teenage years and I remember talking to you when I felt like I wasn't getting along with my mom. We talked about diets and exercise (everytime Chrissy and I thought we needed to lose weight you'd encourage us to do it in a healthy manner), we talked about boys and dating and make up, etc. One more, you actually let Chrissy, Amy, and I borrow your van for a mad dash throughout the U.S. Now that I'm a parent, I don't know that I'd let my daughter and her friends just take my car. You are an amazing person, you are so much fun to be around and I love you a lot! You are always in my thoughts and prayers!

One memory...just one? Okay, does the memory of starting to exercise with you...which is still going on..count? We have had so many opportunities to talk about so much and all while accomplishing something. If that doesn't count as just one, then let's try the last time we just dropped what we were doing and went garden touring. I think one of my favorite memories is the time we were working on the garden tour for the city and we were out looking at gardens. I'm not sure if it was spontaneous combustion between the two of us or if it was desperation, but there we were walking up to people's houses and asking them if we could walk around their yard and put them in the garden tour. I think you've helped me grow a part of the male anatomy over the years...hmmm...maybe this better stay anon...not that you won't know who this is!

I moved to centerville some eighteen years ago and Kim opened her heart to me. Kim, you taught me
that you really appreciated not only friends of your culture or faith but you embraced our culture
whether it was Jamaican or South American. Kim you are blessed with the ability to love all people.
Kim you've got such a big tender heart and I love you so much for being you.

This is hard to just name one! I remember all the fun plays you put on at church. I loved being a cupcake, and a carrot! Thanks for the wonderful example you are to me. Thanks for teaching your children! I dont know if you know this, but when I was wanting to come to church, I called Chrissy. I knew that she would be there for me as a true friend. She is just like her mommy! I also loved coming over to your house during conference and playing BINGO. You guys always have great food and the best treats.
Love you BIG

I agree with Iona. You seem to have a knack at embracing others and making them feel like they belong. Lately, I have been thinking about the times that I would tag along with my mom to your morning aerobics classes. I have probably been thinking about that a lot because I have to teach two periods of it next semester, eeek! I think my favorite is when you would teach water aerobics during the summer in your pool. There are some memories that I wish I could go back and watch. Pretty sure that me splashing around in your pool with all my mom's friends will be one of them.

My favorite memory with you is when you took the time to teach me how to act and helped me acheive one of my dreams of singing in a musical.
